History
1963 Hong Kong Anti Cancer Society (HKACS) was incorporated and registered in March as a non-profit organization.
1966 With donation of 2.65 million Hong Kong Dollars, the construction of Nam Long Hospital was started.
1967 Nam Long Hospital was opened in 5th May, providing 120 beds for cancer patients.
1976 Number of beds available in Nam Long Hospital was increased from 120 to 150.
1978 The size of Hospital further increased and the number of beds had reached 180.
1985 Voluntary Service of HKACS was commenced. Cancer Nursing Programmes were provided to registered nurses, medical professionals and the public.
1987 Hospice care service was provided by the hospital.
1989 HKACS celebrated its 25th founding anniversary.
1991 Nam Long Hospital was now managed by the newly formed Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HKHA).
Dec 2003 Nam Long Hospital was closed due to the changing policies of the HKHA.
Dec 2004 The management of the hospital premises was reverted to HKACS
July 2005 The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust approved a generous grant of 109.23 Hong Kong million dollars for the conversion of Nam Long Hospital to the self-financed Cancer Rehabilitation Centre.
Feb 2006 Prof. H.C. Ho Memorial Assistance Programme is established to finance cancer patients in need for "Self-financed Drugs" commended by the Hospital Authority.
Oct 2006 The Nam Long Hospital project was commenced.
2008 The Cancer Rehabilitation Centre was opened in October.
